MEET GARRETT
Garrett Greco is a fifth-generation Tampanian, and community advocate dedicated to preserving what makes Tampa special while preparing it for the future.
A multi-generational resident of the city, Garrett has spent years studying Tampa’s neighborhoods, history, infrastructure, and growth. Through his widely followed podcast, he has interviewed business owners, civic leaders, historians, elected officials, and community members, giving him a unique perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing the city. Those conversations reinforced a simple belief: the best decisions are made by listening first.
Professionally, Garrett works in real estate, as a residential broker and commercial property investor focusing on restoring and improving properties that strengthen neighborhoods and create lasting value. His work has centered on thoughtful redevelopment, supporting small businesses, and encouraging growth that respects the character and history of Tampa’s communities.
Public service has always been part of Garrett’s life. Raised in a family with deep civic roots, he believes leadership is about stewardship—leaving a place better than you found it. That belief has guided his volunteer service on local boards, his civic involvement as a member of the City of Tampa’s Land Development Code Advisory Team, and the City of Tampa’s Charter Review Commission, and now his decision to seek public office.
Garrett is running to help build a Tampa that remains affordable, connected, and rooted in its identity. He believes the city can embrace growth without sacrificing its neighborhoods, invest in infrastructure before it falls behind, support locally owned businesses, and create places where families want to live for generations.
Garrett and his wife are raising their two young sons in Tampa, and his greatest hope is that they inherit a city that honors its past, serves its people well, and offers even greater opportunities for the generations to come.
